Welcome to Part 3 of my 3-part post!  I’ve utilized my Nutella Espresso Ganache from Part 1 and the Roasted Strawberries from Part 2 to create these milkshakes.  These Roasted Strawberry Milkshakes with Nutella Espresso Ganache are utterly delicious.  The strawberry flavor is deeper, and more concentrated in these milkshakes because the strawberries are roasted.  The ganache has that wonderful chocolate-hazelnut Nutella flavor, which is intensified by the espresso.  The fact that it’s mixed with heavy cream means that it’s velvety and decadent.  This is one great flavor combo!

I don’t know about you, but I like my milkshakes to be medium thickness so I can actually drink it through a straw.  If you like yours thicker, just add less milk…or more ice cream.   I didn’t add too much of the roasted strawberries because I didn’t want the milkshake to be too sweet, and I wanted to dollop some on top.  Naturally, the strawberries pretty much sunk, but I got nice roasted strawberry chunks at the end, which was a nice ending to my milkshake.

I thought about whirring the ganache in the blender with the ice cream, milk, and roasted strawberries, but I decided to drizzle it on top instead, and stirred it in a bit.  I like the color contrast of the dark brown ganache and the pink milkshake, not to mention I could taste the ganache better because it wasn’t completely mixed in.  I can’t get enough of this Nutella Espresso Ganache!

Before I got the idea for a milkshake, I was thinking sundae.  I didn’t just think sundae, I made one.  Then I took pictures of one.  Then I ate it.  It was melting, and nobody else was home, so it had to be done.  Oh boy, was it good.  There’s a lot of this in my future.  I hope there’s room for some in your future, too!
